Bethlehem and EtzionSunday, April 15 Observers: Sylvia P, Ofra B, Chana A (reporting)7:00 Bethlehem CP: Many workers already outside ready to go to work. Inside there were four windows open and short lines. The hand identification machine is not much in use. We saw only one case of its being used. We meet a group of four English Methodists going to church in Jerusalem. One of them is a woman minister. They had many questions. On the way to Etzion we have a few matters with different Palestinians to clear up and reach the DCO at:9:00 Etzion: Not many people. The DCL is still in the process of being rebuilt. No magnetic cards are given but an impressive infrastructure is being set up to produce them. The building is proceeding apace. The turnstiles are there (see pictures attached). After our watch we stopped at Abu Nasim and returned. On our way back we saw the CP at Etzion manned: a soldier was standing with his rifle turned on the approaching cars.
