| Afternoon

Abu Dis Monday, 2nd May,2005 P.M.Talia A-S., Judy O.On the way up the hill, there were still people climbing over at every possible place. Pishpash – almost deserted. We crossed over and to our great delight found that there were no soldiers at the New checkpoint down the hill.On our way back, however, when we emerged from the church grounds, three soldiers were walking up the hill to the pishpash where they stayed. They were joined by a jeep which left soon after.Al Ezariya – no checkpoint, no army presence. Container – there were few cars and pedestrians and all passed through smoothely, with what appeared to be minimal checking. Anata – there was a queue coming into Jerusalem but it moved fairly smoothely. Here IDs were checked. Blue allowed through, orange and green with permits. There were few pedestrians going either way.
