Some pass for the olive picking. 6:45 Few workers pass from Tulkarm to Jubara to pick olives. They have special permits from the DCO. A vehicle waits for them by the coffee shop and takes them to the village.A minibus picking up kids to school goes through the gate in the separation fence.The soldiers are courteous. They say very few people come to the checkpoint since the closure started. In the parking lot above the coffee shop, cars wait for their relatives coming from Tulkarm. They are not permitted to go in to Tulkarm.Two women with kids pass and go to the car waiting for them in the parking lot. Taxis are allowed to travel on the upper road towards Shufa; all other vehicles are directed to the lower road. 7:10 An army Hamer checks a Palestinian vehicle on the upper road. The car was just checked at the checkpoint. They continue on their journey after a few minutes. The Hamer arrives at the checkpoint and continues on the road by the fence. IDs are checked for those who are traveling from Tulkarm To Jubara or Shufa. They continue on their way. A Palestinian with an Israeli Id accompanies his mother, who has a Palestinian Id. He says she needs to go to the eye doctor. They do not have a permit from the DCO and are turned back home to Tulkarm. 7:30 we leave and go to Bait Iba.
