Nablus

Observers: Y
Aug-09-2003
| Afternoon

The soldiers were stubbornly sticking
to the closure orders, without taking into consideration
humanitarian concerns, thus creating long queues, particularly in
the northern part. At 17:00 Y, the DCO officer, arrived, and the
pressure was slightly alleviated. But again, our presence had its
effect. We suspected that the soldiers were carrying out their
private revenge for the killing of the soldier, as residents of
Askar got no chance to retrun home on this day.
