(reporting) There were no exceptional events during our shift.- The skeleton of the burnt-out bus (from the suicide bomb of Line 14a), that had been placed next to the Wall [Separation Barrier], has been removed.- A new segment of the Wall has been constructed since last week, between the Moskowitz area and the Hotel.- A new main water meter has been installed by (Palestinian) workers of the Jerusalem municipality, adjacent to the fence of the hospice. It will replace the water meter on the other side of the Wall. The workers tell us that the water supply to the other side will not be affected. 16.00, the Pishpash Gate [roadside pedestrian passage]: Because of the closure in effect [restricting movement in the Territories], all people crossing from east to west are checked. Most of them have blue [Israeli] IDs. They say they have been waiting for about an hour, and the checking itself is made through a terminal, which takes another 10-15 min. 17.15, Wadi-Nar [Sawahre]: Traffic is flowing steadily in both directions, with practically no checking of vehicle permits, nor checking of IDs. A group of 8 students has been detained already for an hour. It is very cold, and they are not dressed for the weather. Despite two calls to Shlomi(the company’s second-in-command), they got back their IDs, though not before 18.00.
