Between17:00 and 17:15 four laborers going north were detained at thecheckpoint for having entered Jerusalem illegally. This reminded me of aslogan we have seen on the bulletin board of a brigade commander: “Keep thepopulation in a state of constant uncertainty”. Until now the passagenorthbound at Ar-Ram has been open. Yesterday the soldiers decided to targetlaborers, to check them when they feel relatively safe and to punish themretrospectively for having worked a day in Jerusalem!
