A-Ram: An enormous backup of traffic from the Neve Yaakov junction.
The checkpoint was closed to traffic heading out of Jerusalem, but
was open to traffic heading into Jerusalem. It had apparently been
closed for

several hours, on orders from high up. Obviously, there was a top
alert.

Qalandya: Almost no traffic on the roads. No school buses and very
few schoolchildren of any age. Both vehicles and individuals in
both directions were allowed through. Two men were detained for an
ID check.
