17:05 – Three Border Police soldiers are at the checkpoint.
We have counted 30 cars waiting in line to enter Qalqiliya.
The documents of the passengers of entering vehicles are checked randomly. Outgoing vehicles pass the checkpoint without inspection.

Two reservists come to the aid of the soldiers. They also come to us offering their help. To our request to let people get back home without unnecessary delays, they say they are on alert looking for a specific car. They join the soldiers who carry out the inspections and the line of entering cars is getting shorter.

    • Qalqilya is surrounded on all sides by the separation barrier. The only exit from the city is in the east of the city on the road that leaves the city in an easterly direction. This is where the checkpoint was located. When the checkpoint was active until 2009 our shifts watched long queues of cars being inspected at the only exit from the city to the West Bank. The checkpoint was canceled, but there is a military presence at the entrance to the city.
