Sheikh Saed
Sheikh Saed, Wednesday 20.09.06 PM Observers: Laura S., Daniela G. (reporting) Sheikh Saed The so-called Bezeque construction has born a fence (a metal one for the time being) that surrounds the outskirts of the village. It is easier to climb up to the village now, through the narrow opening in the fence. Jerusalem bound people’s IDs are checked by the BP. A group of detainees are made to stand in the blazing sun while a rude BP-woman calls out their names, one by one, for them to approach her and get their ID back. They were caught trying to get to the wrong side of the fence. One of them is severely reprimanded by her. He could be her father. A one legged cripple approaches the soldiers on his crutches. He is sent back up the hill, forbidden to pass with harsh words.
