South Hebron Hills - The settlers warn the herd owners not to dare to go 50 to 100 meters from the villages
A trip to Rahwa
Before we went to Rahwa, we went to buy food for the Abu Sharakh family.
We arranged with N. who lives in a village near Dura to meet him near Ramadin. N. worked for many years in Israel in Sderot, and our friends introduced him to us and the financial difficulties that do not allow him to support his family. We also bought basic foodstuffs for him and his family. It’s not easy to get our help, but it saves lives. We brought clothes and games with us and handed them over as well.
From there we drove to Rahwa.
In the previous shift we were in Rahwa, about a week ago, we reported on the wickedness and violence of 3 settlers from the Avraham farm of Shabtai. The three emptied containers of flour, sugar and oil and cut pipes that carried water from the well of the Abu Sharakh family.
A terrible spectacle. hunger and thirst.
We realized that in the next shift we will bring food and bottles of water that will help the 3 families a little. We met Dunya, a Bedouin from Hura in the Negev, married to Samer. She describes to us again the fear that all the family members experienced from what was done to them.
As afore said. She cannot drive in the old car, because the car keys were stolen by the Jewish terrorists who sabotaged it. We brought games and toys for the children who, as usual, are happy and put a little smile on their faces.
On our way back we met Ahmad who had returned from Dahariya, where he had bought sacks of food for the sheep without any choice.
As in the whole region, the settlers warn the herd owners not to dare to go 50 to 100 meters from the villages and there is no way to feed the flock. This is a huge expense, but what will they make a living from if not from the herds?
They say that in the morning a few hours ago, the head of the Tene Omarim settlement, which is located on nearby hills, warned them not to cross the border he had set for them.
This is the occupation

South Hebron Hills
South Hebron Hills is a large area in the West Bank's southern part.
Yatta is a major city in this area: right in the border zone between the fertile region of Hebron and its surroundings and the desert of the Hebron Hills. Yatta has about 64,000 inhabitants.
The surrounding villages are called Masafer Yatta (Yatta's daughter villages). Their inhabitants subsist on livestock and agriculture. Agriculture is possible only in small plots, especially near streams. Most of the area consists of rocky terraces.Since the beginning of the 1980s, many settlements have been established on the agricultural land cultivated by the Palestinians in the South Hebron Hills region: Carmel, Maon, Susia, Masadot Yehuda, Othniel, and more. Since the settlements were established and Palestinians cultivation areas have been reduced; the residents of the South Hebron Hills have been suffering from harassment by the settlers. Attempts to evict and demolish houses have continued, along with withholding water and electricity. The military and police usually refrain from intervening in violent incidents between settlers and Palestinians do not enforce the law when it comes to the investigation of extensive violent Jewish settlers. The harassment in the South Hebron Hills includes attacking and attempting to burn residential tents, harassing dogs, harming herds, and preventing access to pastures.
There are several checkpoints in the South Hebron Hills, on Routes 317 and 60. In most of them, no military presence is apparent, but rather an array of pillboxes monitor the villages. Roadblocks are frequently set up according to the settlers and the army's needs. These are located at the Zif Junction, the Dura-al Fawwar crossing, and the Sheep Junction at the southern entrance to Hebron.
