Abu-Dis, Wadi-Nar 14/4/2004 Watchers: Ruti R., Sylvia P., Hana G., Osi M. (reporting) Still closure. The Pishpash gate. BP soldiers watch the passage from inside the jeep and check the IDs of those entering Jerusalem (using the annoying loud horn). A taxi driver told us that people with medical permissions are allowed to pass. Wadi-Nar. Due to the closure, no one is allowed to pass, except for trucks. The rule isn’t clear, but most of the trucks we saw were allowed to pass, after waiting. Pedestrians can’t pass, and thus many by-pass the CP (taxis stop about 200 m from the CP at each side). A foreign woman we met, who works for the Red Cross, told us that there are many events of beating in this CP, and that our presence is very important in preventing them.
