Jubara, A-Ras, Anabta, Wednesday 19.9.2007 pmObservers: Tammie C. Dalia G.Natanya translating.14.45 Jubara. At the gate into Israel a police van frees two prisoners and from there they go on foot to Tulkarm. We visit Abu Hatam where we meet his wife and daughters. We have brought them basic necessities for the holiday, sugar, flour and rice and they are very happy with this.At A-Ras at 14.35 the shift is being changed. Cars from Tulkarm are quickly checked and into Tulkarm not at all.A young man with a cart wants to enter Jubara but he is not allowed in because he is not a resident of the village. No one but a resident can go in and out. We are just about to leave when a van comes up and a driver gets out bringing us guavas and oranges for the holiday. “Let there be peace” he says. From his mouth to the Lord.We go on to Anabta and on the way go in to Shufa which is blocked with a yellow iron gate. We saw two cars evidently of the secret service going into the blocked villages.15.05 Anabta. No line and cars pass without being checked. A small van though is stopped and immediately a line of 8 cars forms. But when that car goes through everyone passed with no checking and the queue disappears and this happens again and again. At the exit from Anabta the position is different and we see a long line. Tammie goes to check, 100 cars! Almost to the village. The drivers are to blame. Everyone is in a hurry because of the holiday and pushes in and this causes the problem and everyone blames everyone else. 15. 15 we leave for Beit Iba.
