The occasional one going towardsJerusalem is stopped, and ID’s of all passengers checked, but nobody wasdetained for any length of time. The soldiers ignored us,allowing us to raom freely about, and even to talk to the detainees(namely, to people waiting in the cabs).This shift confirms, I suppose, the wisdom of our conventional hours, andthere was really nothing much to observe.
