A four month old baby from Gaza who suffers from a kidney disease was hospitalized in Ramallah, when his illness took a turn for the worse the medical staff recommended that he should be transferred to Augusta Victoria un Jerusalem. His ambulance was detained at the entrance to the checkpoint for 55 minutes. "No co-ordinations had been made" said the soldiers.

After one hour drive and half an hour of waiting at the entrance to the checkpoint, a baby of two months with heart disease was transferred from a Palestinian emergency kit to a Jerusalem one. Exposed to the haziness, the dust and the air that is polluted by gas fumes couldn't have been good for the baby, but it was all preformed according to regulations and in the name of security.

The air over the main road between Ramallah and Jerusalem is full with gas fumes mixed in the black smoke that rose from the burnt tires, and the combination of the two created a thick cloud that covered over the grounds.

Mahmud Jabari is under sixteen, he was hunted by soldiers last Thursday the 14th of March during a confrontation between protesting Palestinian teenagers and military forces. This is the third time Mahmud had been detained and jailed.

The checkpoint is turning into a fortified site protected by walls in within walls, and the thousands of people who have to walk through the checkpoint every day by vehicle or foot, have now only one entrance left and it's becoming narrow.

A mother and her 4 months old baby from Jenin waited for over half an hour for another ambulance which will take them from Qalandiya to a hospital in Jerusalem. The ambulance has arrived but the soldiers kept inspecting and detaining the new born and his mother, with repeated inspections of the permits that had been handed hours in advance.

A new army post opposite to the main entrance of Ar- Ram was erected. The soldiers said that their job is to defend the entrance to "Rama" the army base and shoot at those throwing stones on military vehicles.

The line of cabs grew long, the identity of the drivers was inspected, one cab after another and another, waiting in a long line and blocking the main road on that busy hour, and once again the time of hundreds of people was expropriated by force." Shots of joy were heard from the direction of Qalandiya refugee camp, celebrating 48 years to the foundation of the Fatah. When the celebrations were over youngsters came out of the camp and threw stones at the checkpoint compound. A group of soldiers marched towards the refugee camp. In order to cross the busy street the soldiers fired at the center of the road, and alarmed vehicles on both sides stopped.
